Preparation
The ZUT is sold out - how can I still get a starting place?
This is only possible via the starting place exchange, which we will publish on the ZUT website for the individual races from December 1, 2024. There is no waiting list.
How does the starting place exchange work?
All runners who have already booked a starting place but unfortunately cannot start can offer and submit their places on the starting place exchange.
All those interested in a starting place can select an offered starting place, which they can book for the official and current price.
There is no option to be notified or to post a request, the start place exchange must be actively monitored by the person searching.
Experience has shown that the closer it gets to the event, the more starting places are offered.

I am an elite runner, do I get a free race number and/or accommodation?
We offer elite runners a limited number of free starting places. Since the ZUT has been listed in the International Trailrunning Association (ITRA) since 2022, we base our definition of “elite” on the ITRA Performance Index (PI). That means: Men must have at least a PI of 850, women 700. Furthermore applies:

- No entry fees will be paid retroactively.
- Free accommodation will not be offered for elite runners.
