From 19 to 21 June 2019 the SALOMON Zugspitz Ultratrail powered by LEDLENSER is celebrating its 10thanniversary. Participants will be able to choose from distances between 25 and 102 kilometres on the trails around the Zugspitze, Germany’s highest mountain. Indeed, the SALOMON Zugspitz Ultratrail powered by LEDLENSER is the biggest trailrun event anywhere in Germany. All the courses finish in the pretty village of Grainau. Since its debut in 2011 with 700 runners the event has grown exponentially and for the anniversary edition 2500 trailrunners from more than 50 countries will take on the challenge. The five start locations of Grainau, Ehrwald, Leutasch-Weidach, Mittenwald and Garmisch-Partenkirchen will once again be transformed into a trailrunning paradise. The weekend starts with a pasta party to load up on carbohydrates before the running begins in earnest. Out on the trails there are up to ten food stations along the course to keep energy levels high. Germany’s biggest trailrun event is about much more than just the legendary Ultratrail with its leg-punishing 102,5 kilometres and 5491 vertical meters of ascent. The four other distances available are the Supertrail XL (82 km), the Supertrail (64 km), the Basetrail XL (39 km) and the Basetrail (25 km), meaning the SALOMON Zugspitz Ultratrail powered by LEDLENSER offers something for everyone.
